Execution & Technical Scope
TESPL executed a 1200mm internal diameter microtunnel crossing at the Raidak River in West Bengal for GAIL India — at time of completion, India's longest 1200mm MT river crossing. The geology comprised cobbles and boulders — one of the most demanding ground conditions for microtunnelling, requiring continuous face pressure management and careful cutter head operation to avoid machine blockage or ground collapse. The AVN 1200 was deployed for this crossing, completing a 480-metre drive through this difficult ground.
