Project Overview

Execution & Technical Scope

TESPL executed a 2000mm internal diameter microtunnel sea outfall for Gujarat Heavy Chemicals Ltd. in Gujarat — a curved drive through rock in an open coastal environment. The curved alignment was required by site constraints that made a straight bore impractical. Executing a curved MT drive at 2000mm diameter through rock, in coastal conditions, is technically rare — it demands precise MTBM steering control, careful management of jacking loads through the curve, and consistent face pressure management in variable coastal ground. The installation was completed using an AVN2000 machine, with sea recovery subcontracted to a specialist marine contractor.
